About
A group of amputees came together in 2008 to support each other, and in November 2009, they officially established Amputees4Amputees to extend their support to the amputee community in Malta. Our organization is built on three pillars:
Support
Our main aim is to support individuals who are going to or have undergone an amputation. We strongly believe in being there for each other, and even though everyone's experience is different, another amputee who's been through the journey of losing a limb can relate from personal experience. We also offer professional psychological assistance if needed.
Advocacy
A4A is not just a passive support group. We actively advocate for the best possible services for amputees, both within and outside of the hospital. This includes ensuring the provision of good-quality prostheses and other related services.
Education
We are dedicated to continuous learning and education. We participate in conferences and collaborate with other organizations to enhance our knowledge and share it with our members and the wider community.
